CSP Guide

Start a mini bank point in your area

Most villages and wards have people who need to withdraw or deposit cash, pay a bill or recharge a phone, and no branch or ATM nearby. A Payonclick retailer ID turns your shop into that banking point, the way a CSP counter works, with one app.

People search for a "CSP provider" when they want one thing: a counter in their own area where neighbours can take cash out of their bank account, check a balance and pay bills, without travelling to a branch. There are two ways to run such a counter. You can be appointed as a Customer Service Point (CSP) by one bank, or you can take a retailer ID on a platform such as Payonclick and serve customers of any bank from day one. This guide explains the Payonclick route in full.

What "CSP provider" usually means

A bank CSP, also called a Business Correspondent (BC) agent point, works on behalf of one bank. The bank, or a BC company it has appointed, signs the agreement with you, and the bank stays responsible for its customers' KYC. Some bank CSPs can open basic accounts and accept cash deposits for that bank. The routes to become one are the bank's own branch, the BC company the bank works with, or the Common Service Centre (CSC) scheme through csc.gov.in. Our Hindi guide on bank CSP versus a fintech retailer ID covers that route and the fee scams around it.

A Payonclick banking point works across banks. Instead of tying your counter to one bank, it gives your shop services that work for everyone who walks in: cash withdrawal for customers of any bank by Aadhaar, debit card or UPI, cash deposit into accounts at State Bank of India, IDFC FIRST Bank, Bank of Baroda and Union Bank of India through our free money transfer, Bharat Connect bill payments and recharges. For the person at your counter, the result is the one they came for: cash in hand, money in their account, a paid bill, a working phone.

Payonclick India is run by VVN MULTISERVICES INDIA Pvt. Ltd., Sirsa, Haryana, a technology and service provider. Every transaction runs on regulated banks and networks.

What your shop can offer customers of any bank

AEPS cash withdrawal

The customer gives their Aadhaar number and a fingerprint or iris scan, and withdraws from their Aadhaar-linked bank account. Balance enquiry and mini statement work the same way.

Micro ATM

The customer uses their own debit card and PIN on a Bluetooth Micro ATM paired with the Payonclick app, with no fingerprint needed.

UPI cash withdrawal

The customer scans a dynamic QR in the Payonclick app with any UPI app and approves with their UPI PIN. You need no extra device.

Cash deposit

The customer hands you cash and you send it to their account at SBI, IDFC FIRST Bank, Bank of Baroda or Union Bank of India through our free money transfer, with no charge to the customer.

Bharat Connect bills

Electricity, water, gas, credit card, FASTag, insurance and loan payments across 30 bill categories, with a receipt carrying the Bharat Connect reference.

Mobile and DTH recharge

Prepaid recharges for Airtel, Jio, Vi, BSNL and MTNL, and five DTH brands, paid from your Payonclick wallet.

Your own settlement

Withdrawal amounts land in your wallet. You move them to your own verified bank account by IMPS whenever you need cash for the drawer.

Having three ways to withdraw cash matters in a real area. An older customer with no debit card uses AEPS. A customer whose fingerprint does not read well can use a debit card at the Micro ATM. A young customer with a smartphone uses UPI. Our comparison of AEPS, Micro ATM and UPI cash withdrawal shows which one to start with.

Choosing the right spot in your area

A banking point does best where people need cash and have few ways to get it. Before you start, look around your area:

Once your counter is running, you can bring other shops in your area onto Payonclick as a distributor. See how to become a distributor.

Stay safe from "CSP allotment" offers

Agents who ask for a large "CSP allotment fee", show a bank letter you cannot verify, or claim a CSP is "approved by RBI" are a common fraud. RBI does not appoint individual CSPs; banks do. Check any such offer at the bank's own branch before you pay anything. On your Payonclick counter, never let anyone else transact on your ID or use your fingerprint, and never share your OTP, TPIN or password. Our fraud safety guide for retailers lists the tricks to watch for.

Payonclick staff never ask for your OTP, TPIN, password or a remote fingerprint scan. If a caller does, hang up and contact us on +91 99926 88080 (phone and WhatsApp), Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST.

Frequently asked questions

What is a CSP provider?

A CSP (Customer Service Point) is a counter that offers basic banking services, usually in areas far from a branch. People also use "CSP provider" for any local counter where customers withdraw or deposit cash and pay bills. With a Payonclick retailer ID, your shop does exactly that: cash withdrawal for customers of any bank, cash deposit to SBI, IDFC FIRST Bank, Bank of Baroda and Union Bank accounts, bills and recharge.

Can Payonclick make me the CSP of SBI or another bank?

Bank CSP appointments are made by each bank itself, through its branch, its BC company or the CSC scheme. Payonclick gives you something wider: a banking point that serves customers of any bank for withdrawals, bills and recharge, plus cash deposits to four major banks, all from one app. Payonclick is a technology and service provider, not a bank.

Can customers of any bank withdraw cash at my shop?

Yes, for customers whose bank supports the method they use. AEPS needs an Aadhaar-linked bank account, Micro ATM needs the customer's debit card and PIN, and UPI cash withdrawal needs a UPI app. The customer's own bank approves or declines every withdrawal and can apply its own limits.

Can customers deposit cash at my shop?

Yes, into accounts at State Bank of India, IDFC FIRST Bank, Bank of Baroda and Union Bank of India. The customer hands you cash and you send it to their account through Payonclick's free money transfer, with no charge to the customer. Each deposit is credited within that bank's service hours, so it is not instant; the app shows the current bank list and timings.

What do I need to start a mini bank point?

Your Aadhaar, PAN and bank account details, an Android phone with the Payonclick app, and a certified RD fingerprint or iris device for AEPS. A Bluetooth Micro ATM device is needed only if you want to offer debit card withdrawals. You register, complete KYC, sign the agreement by eSign and activate the services you want.

Do I have to pay a CSP allotment fee?

No such fee exists on Payonclick. Activation charges apply per service, and our team shares them, along with the commission structure, on request; they are not published on this website. Be careful with anyone who asks for a large "CSP allotment fee" in a bank's name, and check with that bank's branch first.
