Good to know

Retry a timeout with the same client_reference. Re-sending it returns the original recharge with duplicate: true and recharges nothing. The key is claimed by a database unique index before your wallet is touched, so even two simultaneous requests produce one recharge. It is scoped to your account.

The HTTP status tells you the outcome: 201 for SUCCESS and PENDING, and 200 for FAILED, which is still success: true because the request itself was handled. reference_id is our id for the recharge; store it as opaque text. operator_ref is the reference from the operator network; quote it in a customer dispute. It can be null until the operator confirms. Requests that fail validation (INVALID_NUMBER, INVALID_AMOUNT, INSUFFICIENT_BALANCE, INVALID_TPIN) create no recharge and debit nothing.
